Today’s collaborative post is about what some consider the best coast.
Sandy beaches, gorgeous seas, shopping, dining and just about anything else you could want in a vacation- it’s no wonder California is on so many people’s travel bucket lists. If you’ve booked your getaway for this year and are planning things to do, or are considering Cali as your next adventure, here are just a few exciting things you could get up to while you’re there.
With golden palm-tree lined beaches and clear turquoise waters, it would be a sin not to visit California without getting out on the water! There are all kinds of boats you can hire or tours you can go on. Keep an eye out for Californian wildlife which includes wild dolphins, whales, and sea lions amongst others. You could throw a boat party and go wild, or enjoy a relaxed day on the waters instead where you just kick back and soak up the tropical sunshine. As well as the ocean you could also go boating in California’s San Leandro Reservoir, book a hotel nearby such as Best Western Danville Sycamore Inn if you have this on your itinerary. It’s a fun, alternative way to enjoy Cali’s waters.
Taste Some Wine
California is responsible for almost 90% of America’s wine, so it wouldn’t be a trip to the Golden State without a little indulgence. You could go wine tasting, or shop for a few special bottles that you could take back home with you to enjoy later on.
Visit The Golden Gate Bridge
The Golden Gate Bridge is possibly California’s most famous landmark and is one that you won’t want to miss on your trip. You could hire a car and drive over it yourself or book a sightseeing tour. Either way, it’s a spectacular sight and one that you must go and visit while you’re in California.
Swim With Dolphins
Sunny southern states like Cali and Florida are ideal for swimming with dolphins, and if you have this jotted on your bucket list then why not make dreams a reality? If you’re unsure about the keeping dolphins in captivity debate then that’s no problem, there are places you can swim with them in the wild. Since they’re not being forced to stay, you have peace of mind that they’re enjoying the experience as much as you are.
Indulge in Some Retail Therapy
California is home to some of the most high-end shops in the world. Take Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills for example, this is the mothership for luxury shopping. Browse the designer boutiques and shops, and experience the glitz and glamour of California where you’re likely to rub shoulders with celebrities along the way. It’s the perfect grown up getaway! Just be prepared to drop some serious dollars, designer shopping is very expensive!
Enjoy Some Tasty Food
California has been crowned as one of the top ten food cities in the U.S, which explains why every chef worth their salt wants to set up a restaurant here. It’s an incredible place to enjoy incredible food in all cuisines and for all budgets. There really is something for every taste.
